Construction sites are inherently dangerous places, with heavy materials being lifted into the air, dangerous machines being operated, and other potential dangers around every corner. However, there are many safety precautions in place to ensure the security of construction workers. If all the precautions are maintained, there is no reason anyone working construction should be injured.
Sadly, even with all those safety precautions, hundreds of construction workers die on the job every year. Thousands more are injured. Four types of accidents are responsible for more deaths than any others, called “Construction’s Fatal Four” These are falls, electrocution, being struck by an object, and being pinned between objects. When these accidents occur, many factors could be at play that would allow the injured party to file a claim against the company, equipment manufacturers, or someone else.
