Full Coverage Isn’t Full Coverage

About to get in the car for nearly an hour drive and every time you get in the car in South Florida, you are taking your life into your own hands.

I saw this tongue in cheek but in many ways, it’s the reality.

That’s why it is important to make sure you carry the proper insurance coverage. I know I have it.

I know I have full coverage, but nothing bothers me more than when my clients tell me they have full coverage because, in reality, they do not because the insurance company, or the agent, or the broker gave them this information.

What that means is that you are not only legally required to carry PIP coverage and property damage coverage in Florida. That’s it!

You are not required to carry bodily injury coverage. You are not required to carry uninsured motorist (UM) coverage. You are not required to carry collision coverage… etc. etc.

That is a problem here in Florida. So I advise you to go to your insurance company and make sure you are carrying all the appropriate coverage, not just the bare minimum!
